Code 52F in Vista Windows Update on Office Service Pack

Have you been getting the very unhelpful 52F error in Vista’s Windows Update on a simple Office Service Pack update? This is Microsoft’s very clear way of saying “please put the Office install CD into the drive”.
Windows Vista is great! I’m still not sure why I use my XP laptop more than my Vista box….

You’re an idiot.
The install cd WAS in the drive. Try again.
Thanks for the constructive comment. The true meaning of the error is that the installation media was not found. I haven’t further looked into the issue as what I listed took care of the problem for me but if you’ve installed from a source other than a CD, removed the temporary install files from the installer, or have a corrupted install path in your registry that could cause the error as well. I suggest reinstalling Office and then applying the patch. At the end of the Office install do not tell it to delete the temporary install files and see if that does the trick.
