Jared, the Galleria of Misleading Advertising

During the morning commute today while listening to my favorite morning show there was a commercial for Jared, a national chain jewelry store, that caught my attention. They were advertising for diamonds of course but the ad mentioned something that set me off. It was along the lines of “remember, it’s an investment”.
Okay… Seriously….. I’d like to hear from anyone who sold a diamond for more than they paid for it at a retail store. Anyone? They are trying to make it out as if your diamond will appricate in value as a house would. The levels of subtle deception these companies will go to just to hock some purdy stones is absurd.
